My artistic research focuses on a multitude of themes, all inextricably linked to humanity and contemporary society. I am drawn to everyday individual behaviors and interpersonal relationships in today’s multicultural and multilingual society, but also to housing issues (architecture and interior design), the imposition of ideals of beauty on individuals, and the media’s relentless influence on people, whether they like it or not. I design and create artworks using a variety of expressive media, from painting to collage, from retouched photography to installation. I don’t feel confined to a single language or style. Each project has its own ideal way of narrating it, even if the audience may not recognize the artist at first glance. This vision, often attributed to designers of the past, suggests that “good design is not a style,” but a language or an attitude. True to Pasolini’s dictum, “the most interesting style is that of having no style.” I love the ironic and provocative interpretation of the subject, but above all, self-irony. I am an avid colorist, I believe in the active power of color and its ability to directly influence our emotions and behaviors.
